Brilliant Tourism Media Buy or Extra Brilliant Republican Subliminal Marketing Ploy?

I’ve been seeing a TON of Alaska tourism ads on TV lately. I NEVER saw them before, but over the past week or so I’ve seen their tourism spot at least three times a day.

Thoughts?  Is it a brilliant media buy by a state tourism board to capitalize on Palin’s notoriety or did the Republican Party kick in money to Alaska’s advertising budget in an even more briliant ploy to make me think Palin every time I see this ad without it being a politcal ad?

Note: This photo is not from the ad.  I tried to find it on YouTube, but no luck…
